1943 – 1993: The event grew steadily, moving between venues around the city as American ready-to-wear gained ground internationally.
1993: Fashion Week found a fixed home under tents in Bryant Park, a setup that ran for nearly two decades
2010: The tents moved to Lincoln Center, a bigger footprint for a bigger week.
2014: The CFDA acquired the Fashion Calendar, becoming the sole organizer of the Official NYFW Schedule.
Today, shows run across Manhattan, from Tribeca to Chelsea to Midtown.
