About Madison Square Garden

Madison Square Garden, known as MSG, the Garden or "The World's Most Famous Arena," has been a landmark in Manhattan since 1879. Evolving from an open-air circus venue into a premier sports and entertainment venue, the Garden in its current iteration sits above transit hub, Penn Station and serves as the home of the NBA's New York Knicks and NHL's New York Rangers.

The building in its current structure opened in 1968. In 2013 it underwent a multi-million-dollar renovation, adding expanded concourses, redesigned seating, enhanced dining options and upgraded private suites.

Getting to MSG from Hotel Park Ave by foot

1. Exit Hotel Park Ave onto Park Avenue South, heading west toward Madison Ave

2. Turn onto 32nd or 33rd Street and walk west toward 6th Ave

3. Cross Herald Square at 6th Ave (Macy's will be on your right)

4. Continue to 7th Avenue. MSG is at the corner, above Penn Station

Getting to MSG via public transportation from Hotel Park Ave

1. Walk 5 min south to the 28th Street station

2. Take the 6 train uptown, one stop to 33rd St

3. Exit and walk one block west to 7th Ave and MSG
