How can I get to MetLife Stadium from Manhattan?

The easiest route from Manhattan is by NJ Transit train from Penn Station to Secaucus Junction, followed by a short connecting train to MetLife Stadium on match days.

Traveling by Train:

From Hotel Park Ave NYC, walk, take a short taxi ride, or use the M34-SBS bus to get to Penn Station.

From there, take an NJ Transit train from Penn Station to Secaucus Junction.

Once at Secaucus Junction, transfer to the Meadowlands shuttle train to reach MetLife Stadium.

  • The NJ Transit Mobile App is required to purchase tickets

  • A valid FIFA World Cup match ticket is required to buy NJ Transit tickets for these dates

  • Both a match ticket and NJ Transit ticket are required to receive the mandatory NJ Transit Matchday Wristband

Traveling by Bus:

A NYNJ Stadium Shuttle service will be offered from Port Authority Bus Terminal and Midtown East, which can be purchased through their official website.

  • Shuttle service is available only to FIFA World Cup match ticket holders

  • A valid match ticket is required for boarding

How far is MetLife Stadium from Hotel Park Ave?

Under normal conditions, the journey from Midtown Manhattan to MetLife Stadium typically takes 45 to 75 minutes via NJ Transit.

On match days, this can extend closer to 60 to 90 minutes due to high passenger volume. It's recommended that fans allow at least 2-3 hours before kickoff to travel to the event.

Staying in central neighbourhoods like NoMad allows guests to travel easily to the stadium while still enjoying everything New York City has to offer.

How do visitors arrange transport to MetLife Stadium?

On match days, NJ Transit operates dedicated trains to MetLife Stadium from Penn Station via Secaucus Junction.

Stadium Shuttle Service
Official World Cup stadium shuttle tickets must be purchased in advance through the shuttle provider’s website. A valid FIFA World Cup match ticket is required to ride.

Will there be World Cup events or watch parties in Manhattan?

During the tournament, New York City is expected to host fan events, screenings and watch parties across many neighbourhoods.

  • The official Fan Village at Rockefeller Center (between 48th–51st Streets) will transform the plaza into a watch party hub with live match broadcasts and a temporary soccer pitch at the famous rink.  

  • The Rockefeller Center Fan Village runs from July 4–19, 2026 and is free for all. Tickets are not required. 

  • Fanatics Fest NYC (July 16–19) at the Javits Center will feature soccer legends, match viewings and FIFA's largest branded activation that is timed to coincide with the Final weekend.  

Can I experience the World Cup in New York without match tickets?

Yes, NYC will be packed with public screenings, pop-up cultural festivals, food markets and national celebrations in Midtown, Lower Manhattan and along the waterfront.
