Seed Library NYC, named one of the 11 Best Bars in New York City by Bon Appétit (February 2026) and featured on Time Out's Best Bars in NYC list is the first New York bar from Mr. Lyan: the award-winning bartender behind internationally recognized venues in London and Washington, DC.

Rooted in accessibility and craft, Seed Library NYC serves ingredient-led cocktails built around fermentation, enzymatic techniques and global Lyan classics — alongside small plates, wines, beers and warm chocolate chip cookies baked fresh to order.

The space channels a 1960's lounge: velvet seating, vinyl on the decks, rust-colored corners and a soundtrack that earns its volume. It's designed to feel like a discovery. Underground, unhurried and genuinely worth planning a night around or for one last round before heading up to bed.

A Manhattan Bar

Seed Library NYC is a sibling to Seed Library London — bridging two of the world's greatest cocktail capitals while maintaining a distinctly local New York focus. Mr. Lyan's approach to bartending is rooted in accessibility and craft: drinks that reward curiosity without demanding it.

The bar opened in autumn 2025 to immediate critical recognition. Within months, it had earned dual placement on Bon Appétit's and Time Out's authoritative best bars lists.

Open Tuesday to Sunday ‘til late. We recommend booking to secure a spot, but we’ll always do our best to accommodate walk-ins.

Seed Library can accommodate up to 150 guests for private and semi-private events. It is one of the most distinctive private event venues in the NoMad neighborhood.
