Visiting NYC With Your Dog

New York is a better dog city than most people expect. Dogs ride in tote bags, sit outside cafes and have strong opinions about certain corners. Bringing yours along takes a little planning, but not much.

Here's what to know, starting with where they'll sleep.

How to Spend a Weekend in NYC Visiting Museums

Most museum weekends in New York go wrong the same way. Too many stops, too much crosstown travel and a lot of time spent in line. The better approach is to pick a few places, group them by neighborhood and leave room for lunch.

Hotel Park Ave NYC sits at 444 Park Avenue South, between NoMad and Flatiron. Most of Manhattan's major collections are a short walk or a few subway stops away. Here's how we'd spend two days.

Making the Most of Our NoMad Location

Park Avenue built its reputation on tradition. A few blocks south, the city tells a different story.

Hotel Park Ave NYC is at 444 Park Avenue South, at the corner of 31st Street. On a map, that reads as Midtown. On foot, it's where Midtown's offices give way to NoMad's restaurants, Flatiron's studios and the quieter residential streets of Murray Hill. It's a location that works as well for a Tuesday of meetings as for a weekend with no plan at all.

Here's how to use it.

24 Hours in NoMad

NoMad takes its name from its location, north of Madison Square Park. It's a compact neighborhood, which is the point. You can spend a full day here without needing public transportation, yellow cab or rideshare and most of the best parts are within ten minutes of each other.

This is how a day tends to go from Hotel Park Ave NYC.
