Making the Most of Our NoMad Location

Hotel Park Ave logo.

Park Avenue built its reputation on tradition. A few blocks south, the city tells a different story.

Hotel Park Ave NYC is at 444 Park Avenue South, at the corner of 31st Street. On a map, that reads as Midtown. On foot, it's where Midtown's offices give way to NoMad's restaurants, Flatiron's studios and the quieter residential streets of Murray Hill. It's a location that works as well for a Tuesday of meetings as for a weekend with no plan at all.

Here's how to use it.

Walk first

The neighborhood is best explored on foot, and most of what you’ll want to discover is closer than it looks.

From the Hotel:

  • Dover Street Market: 2-minute walk

  • Koreatown (West 32nd Street): 6-minute walk

  • Madison Square Park: 7-minute walk

  • Empire State Building: 8-minute walk

  • The Morgan Library & Museum: 10-minute walk

  • Flatiron Building: 12-minute walk

  • Grand Central Terminal: 15-minute walk

  • Madison Square Garden and Penn Station: 15-minute walk

  • Union Square: 20-minute walk

Then take the train

The 6 train stops at 28th Street on Park Ave So and 33rd Street on Park Ave, each about two blocks away. From 33rd Street, Grand Central is one stop north. Going south, the 6 reaches Union Square in two stops and SoHo not long after.

A few minutes west, the N, R and W run along Broadway at 28th St. Herald Square, at 34th St., connects to most of the rest of the system, including the B, D, F, M and Q.

Plan your day around the overlap

The real advantage here is that work and everything else sit close together. Meetings in Midtown are a short walk north. Dinner in Flatiron or Gramercy is a short walk south. Most guests stop going back to the room between the two.

A few patterns we see often:

  • The working day. Breakfast at Park Rose, meetings uptown and a drink on the Golden Child rooftop before dinner.

  • The long weekend. Mornings in Madison Square Park, afternoons downtown, back to Seed Library for one last cocktail.

  • The event night. Madison Square Garden is under a mile away. Walk there, then come back to a bar that's still open.

Use the hotel as part of the neighborhood

Park Rose, Seed Library NYC and Golden Child draw as many New Yorkers as hotel guests. You don't need to leave the building to feel like you're out, and on nights when the plan falls apart, there are three good options downstairs and upstairs.
